Our Mission
Since 1991, the Burbank Philharmonic Orchestra has had one mission: to ensure the continuation of quality music for individuals and families alike.
Comprised of the finest professional musicians in Southern California, the Orchestra boasts gifted artists from Burbank, Pasadena, Glendale, and the greater Los Angeles area. Orchestra members are selected from an exciting pool of talent that perform regularly as studio musicians in recording sessions and on major motion picture soundtracks. The Orchestra also draws members from around the world.
Now in its second decade, the BPO has been thrilling audiences who have come to trust that they will enjoy the very best in classical and popular music.
Since its inception, the Orchestra has been a donor and grant supported non-profit organization whose mission is dedicated to bringing world-class music to the community free of charge.
Maestro Steven Kerstein provides the Orchestra�s artistic acumen, with organizational leadership driven by President James Brandon, Presidents Emeritus Lynda Willner and Bill Kniesel, and a 15-member Board of Directors.
